I have utilized blue painters' tape several times and have experienced the "edge bleed" that can take place. So, this time, I spent the extra funds for the Frog tape. In my knowledge, I did not observe any much less "edge bleed" with the Frog tape than with the blue tape. It is an okay option for masking. But, it does not magically generate "crisp edges." I advocate that you use whichever is cheaper and don't anticipate miracles.
